The 1870 Collection is earth of Italy, wet with water, gently molded, then hand dipped in brilliant paints. A naturally non-stick crystalline finish is applied and it is double baked at extremely high temperatures to be capable of use on stove-tops, in ovens, microwaves and dishwashers.
Piral is one of the oldest and renowned manufactures of “terracotta” in Liguria, Italy. They carefully select the Italian raw materials to be formed into artisan quality cooking and bake ware.
“The 1870 Collection” is a harmonious combination of ancient methods with the benefit of today’s technology. It is the true “green” alternative being sought by the consumer today not only in it’s raw materials, but in the absence of harmful by-products as it is made.
